would suggest math or science.... always $ in teaching for those subjects; unless your a fluffer for a gay prof. I dont think there is much in the way of monetary satisfaction for history maj's...

Math and Science ftw. Combine them and be and Engineer. Make 65k starting, and get to leave at 4pm everyday, after telling everyone else in the building what to do. Domination.
